Synopsis
A Montana ranching family faces off against others who are encroaching on their land. Forry J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo veteran. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and revert to his usual Southern California voice. Featured on WatchMojo: 10 Best Summer TV Shows You Didn’t Know Were Coming (2018). Yellowstone is a well-written drama — great characters, well-crafted — that takes its tone from several different modern masterpieces. It has the atmosphere and cinematography of “Longmire,” the plot and dark look of “The Sopranos,” and the dramatic dynamics of a series like “Dynasty.” or any other network drama of the same ilk. More credit goes to Costner and Cole Hauser — these guys give it 100%. I didn’t expect this show to be this engaging. It’s worth your time.
