For someone who didn’t really know the story, I was really intrigued by the details of what happened
Synopsis
During the 1972 Munich Olympics, an American sports team is forced to cover a hostage crisis involving Israeli athletes. The acting is believable, the comedy in all the right places, and the pacing and running time keep you watching before the credits roll.
They did a solid job of not giving away the punchlines
Some may find the lack of a change of scenery tiresome, but I think it worked in this case. I think they wanted you to feel like the control room was your world, and you felt that way on this eventful day.
Encouraging thoughts without preaching
They touched the political and emotional elements well. Mixing footage from the actual event, including footage from the broadcast, will definitely draw you more into the experience.
While it’s not a movie I really intend to watch over and over again, it’s a very well-crafted piece that I recommend to friends who like this kind of movie
