John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to "forget" his Montana accent and reverts back to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses. I live in Darby, MT where most of this is filmed – just yesterday they were filming me across the street in a field with horses and cattle.
I think the show is a pretty solid story and is in the niche where Costner does his best
One thing I noticed in the first season, given my half-Native side, you’re left wondering who are the good guys and the bad guys – maybe both sides are good and bad. I will admit it is nice to see them filming while they are here, the ranch is only a short drive from me and I pass almost daily on my way to fish the Bitterroot River.
