Synopsis
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to be lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy.. Jude Law in The Skeleton Team plus more stars from a galaxy far, far away.. A holographic circus that entertains Neal’s younger siblings , is the same one that the Chewbacca family watches in the infamous holiday special of Star Wars (1978).. I can imagine how the original idea sounded: “It will be like “Battles”, but in the universe of “Star Wars”!
Because things from “Star Wars” are no longer “created”
We will look at the concept from a children’s point of view, while making it interesting with elements from Treasure Island with a visual touch of Pirates of the Caribbean Think how Super 8 worked – children’s fantasy in the spirit of Spielberg “So much effort, so much! visual details and little things, but you can get bored in the process. They are simply “generated” the way AI generates images. I’ll be glad if it succeeds in attracting modern children to the original Star Wars stories, but if the question is whether there will be adults on board this pirate ship, then I’m not sure.
“Acolyte” was at least a betrayal of “Star Wars”
The Mandalorian strikes as a unique Star Wars series that had a kind of seriousness, leaning more towards Sergio Leone westerns than cheaper space operas. The Skeleton Team, well, not so smart and not so crazy. I do not want to praise or scold him. But I do have some resentment about Disney’s handling of SW…
It was wrong
They didn’t even ask to consider and explore the concept… Instead, they turned it into a “setting” for whatever series they wanted to make. SW itself is a dynamic network of valuable ideas and stories to share. Disney+ used her for outside plans, issues, and pushes.

Anyway… Unlike The Acolyte, Skeleton Crew is at least not toxic — for now. (And I’m waiting for an excellent explanation why a Jedi has to wait until several children are thrown into his prison cell to perform his simplest trick and get the key to come to him!). One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest premieres on television and streaming this month.
